This kit is great. Absolutely great. For its price tag, you get a great variety of weapon options AND amount of weapon bits, an unobjectionable number of bodies, a nice variety of heads to keep your models unique, and in general a lot of bits on the one-and-a-half sprues it was designed around. Part joints are simple, and that's great - I love the lack of awkward ball joint necks on the heads, they've never looked quite right to my eye. Details are crisp and pronounced - I'm looking forward to how they look once I've painted them up. Genuinely, I'm hard-pressed to say there's a better plastic kit out there for conquistadors/European soldiers of this period. Other options do exist, but better? I think not. This kit has such a nice, wide variety of uses. And, of course, these are also perfect models for making the infantry core of a certain fantastical empire of humans.

I would have personally liked more zweihanders per sprue and feather parts to add to some hats/heads, but that's just the nature of my own project and does not detract from this kit at all.

Love this set. It comes with many options and bitz. I have used them as warhammer proxies for empire state troops , swedish 16th/ centrury peasant and regular infantry (inspired by Andresas Heneborn), landsknechts and bits and pieces on a multitude of other projects,

Very good miniatures, many types of weapons, and very suitable for historycal, Mordheim, Oathmark, Estalians or Fantasy Warriors.

I’ve searched far and wide to find something like this and this box is exactly what I was looking for. You’re truly spoiled for choice as this box comes with a hilarious number of options and a range of weapons. Like always I purchased them to make a Conquistador themed warband for Frostgrave and I’ve had an absolute blast creating a Wizard/Apprentice, and 22 individual soldiers of various types…and I STILL have minis to build and plenty of great bits to bash with other kits. Speaking of Kitbash: these mate beautifully with the Fireforge Almughavars, and Northstar Knights kits for all your Spanish Crusading needs
