German soldiers were assigned to thousands of non-combat roles in both conquered territories and within their own borders. Soldiers could be tasked with watching over prisoner of war camps and secret military facilities, as bodyguards for higher command, for run-of-the-mill guard duties and military police roles. In some cases they were taken from the best and brightest, but most were just average men in unexciting jobs. Sometimes, though, even the seemingly most boring role was not necessarily safe.

This box set includes enough parts to build 30 German sentries, officers, Feldengendarmes (military police), and guard dog handlers. Weapons and equipment include MP40 SMGs, Mauser rifles, Luger pistols, flashlights, and binoculars. Figures can be modeled checking papers, saluting, surrendering, and even smoking a quick cigarette. There are also 10 German Shepards!

They're pretty tiny!

I bought these some time ago and was toying with the idea of what to use them for. When comparing them to the Panzer Lehr, WW1 Germans, and WW1 British, I had found they were much smaller proportioned which bothered me. They're fine, well sculpted, and superbly detailed models. They however are so dang tiny, and thus their accessory bits such as the chain dog collars and clip straps are a pain to glue on and are easily losable if you drop them anywhere.

German Sentries!

I got this set as a birthday gift for my brother to go with his existing Wargames Atlantic sets and he is absolutely enthused! Great sculpts with a lot of assembly options at a great value! The dogs are a nice addition!

Great set

This is a great set for your WW2 sneaking around games. Lots of options for sentries and patrols my one complaint is that the leash is very easy to break! I only managed to have one not break on me. But other then that great set.

Fantastic unique poses

This kit is amazing for creating patrols or sentries for games (particularly 0200 hours) or dioramas. The poses are very cinematic--strolling with a cigarette or checking papers--and you can assemble some great minis that are totally unique.

Lovely but...

So good to have sentry options for a change rather than combat/action poses. The only negative with the set is the lack of options for right arms. If you exclude the arms needed to pair up with weapons held two handed, there are a grand total of 3 choices to go with slung/at attention guns. One of those is an officers pistol, the other two are saluting, having given the option of a weapon slung on the left having a little more choice would have been nice especially when you see the remaining left arms.
