Cannon Fodder

These work great as generic sci-fi infantry! They especially remind me of the rebel commandos serving under Han Solo on Endor. There are plenty of options and you can make hazmats or prisoners, too!

It’s for cheap Guard alternatives. This said, they’re surprisingly adaptable to other roles. Scientists, civilians, hostages, prisoners, and so on. With the right arm or head swap you’ve got just about anything you’d like. Why? Well these models are all in boiler suits. Means anyone who would wear a jump suit, space suit, hazmat suit, or unitard style outfit can be made from this set.

I bought this box with the aim of making the infantry base of my sci fi army. I liked them so much that I ordered another box and also the female box when it came out.

They are very simple models, but you can make them really unique with different bitz, head options and paintjobs. The clothing can be the jumpsuits of criminals or workers, the space suit of troops fighting in space, and with the additional 3D printable bitz and the command box that's coming in the future you can really make them your own.

This was the first WA kit I've had the pleasure of working with, and I'm thoroughly blown away by not only the quality of this kit, but the sheer versatility, flexibility, and creative potential offered.

In principle, this looks like a very simple model kit. Guys in jump suits, maybe a few heads and weapons. Paint them a color, you have prisoners, or soldiers, or guards. Simple.

Not simple.

The huge variety of heads, alone, lets this kit be built and painted in a shocking variety of ways. The included bits provide a huge amounts of visual and functional variety to the kits. This is a kit that looks like one thing, but can be MANY things, particularly with how compatible all the parts are with other wargaming kits in the same scale.

The last thing worth calling out here is how good the sculpts and manufacturing are, particularly at this price point. The faces are expressive, the weapons and accessories are easy to paint while not skimping on detail, and the overall design of the bodies offers plenty of opportunities for highlighting and shading. Despite being just...... jump suits. It's a lot of character for what should be a simple design. Not only that, but the sprues are well organized, the plastic is easy to work with, and the (few) mold lines are easily removed.

Overall, a fantastic and surprising kit, and thoroughly indicative of the care put into it.

There really is no better choice for cannon fodder soldiers. With a great selection of extra weapons, gear and heads (so many head options!) you'll never have the same troop twice on the table.

My massed infantry army is made up of helmeted veterans, cap wearing recruits and chained up penal units with shaved heads, all from this same kit.

The plastic quality is great, and they are easy to put together. I cannot rate them highly enough!
