Afghan Cavalry Prepare to Drive Off the Invaders

We're pleased to announce the third set for our Imperial Conquests range: Afghan Tribal Cavalry! This is in the final phases of sculpting and will be off to tooling soon.

Arms and heads from this set will be backward compatible to the Afghan Warriors set and vice versa for even more variety for your Afghan army.

There is no release date yet but we should see them before the year is out. Final box contents and number of figures per box TBD.

Can we see some Turcomen heads

What a timing! Today I got my plastic Arab cavalry to do some conversions with my spare WGA Afghan parts, as I thought “noone is ever gonna do Afghan cavalry in plastic”… Et voila, WGA delivers! Splendid work.
Let’s see if my already converted plastic Afghan regulars were in vain too :)
Keep up the great work!

Good to see cavalry approaching.
I hope you go for at least three different horses, as two simply do not have sufficient variance to make for a believable unit.
And perhaps you will have the courage to produce a set of standing or walking horses. Each and any plastic set that was produced has horses in full gallop, which frankly is not how horses would look for 99% of the time.

Splendid looking thus far. I echo the sentiments of Mr. Nichols above. A little bit of diversity never hurts… ;)

They look pretty cool. Have a thought, though. Perhaps you might create a sprue, both for these guys and their dismounted brethren equipping them with WW-II era weapons (Enfields and the like), and more modern (AK-47s and RPG-7s), so they can be used as the freedom fighters whom fought the Soviets in 80s, as well as the fighters whom caused the Americans so many issues from 9-11 onward.

Outstanding, I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the figs in this set!

Any chance of British Infantry for the First Afghan War?
