Painting Conquistadors

Painting Conquistadors

Andreas Heneborn has been painting and taking photos for the Conquistador/16th Century infantry set and we like what we see!

We previously mentioned that we ended up expanding this set from a full frame to a frame and a half to make sure we could fit all the weapon and head/helmet options we could. We think we've ended up with a much more versatile set with many more options for the 16th century and even a bit before.

Because we expanded the set to a second tool we needed to fill up that remaining 1/2 and the parts for that other (secret for now) set is with the engineers for splits and layout. Once that's complete this will be off to tooling.

Here are the two frames that will be in the set. You'll get 5 of each:

Hopefully it won't be much longer until we can let you know it's in tooling. We'll be showing off the Aztec frame soon as well.

If these guys teamed up with your upcoming ogres it would go a long way towards explaining how a handful of men could topple multiple widespread empires. Hmmm! 🤔

Yet another example of why I’m a butterfly when it comes to collecting miniatures. Looking forward to finding ideas for great skirmish games to use these in.

Frame looks lovely I just wish there were more shields on it! So hard to find proper sized plastic Shields for Minis

Fabulous news guys,

these will be perfect for the French Wars of Religion project I have in mind, as we have the largest battle in the west at , port Salut, Entrammes, Ambrieries, plus thirty sieges and lots of large skirmishes nearby.

I do hope you release cavalry also in the future.

I really like these sculpts and that is some excellent brushwork on display. Great color palette.

A couple of war dogs would be a nice addition as others have already suggested.

Whether you’re a Warhammer Empire / Dogs of War player, Kings of War Kingdoms of Men player, Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago player, or an historical wargamer, this set’s got you covered! Such a versatile set, and it looks terrific. Can’t wait.

Mordheim, Mordheim, MORDHEIM!

I would love to see a mounted Conquistador on the frame, as either a commander, or the horsemen the Spanish used.
Those painted figures look fabulous, by the way!

I was thinking they would also be good for Portuguese or Dutch in East and West Africa or the East Indies or even a visit to Japan?
This looks to be a very versatile set indeed. War dogs and or one or two mounted in half armour would be fabulous if there is room. Well done and can’t wait for the Aztecs!
