Skeleton Cavalry and Chariots Update!

Skeleton Cavalry and Chariots Update!

Tooling is wrapping up in the next couple days for this follow up to one of our first two sets: Skeleton Warriors! We think it will be worth the wait!
There will be five frames in the box (along with two chariot frames) - you can see the frame in Articles and News on our site - and this will give you enough parts to do a variety of things.
There are 3 rider bodies on each frame (to allow for all bare skeletons or 1/3 with muscled cuirass) and 2 foot bodies that can become either chariot crew or regular infantry.
You can make a lot of different combinations depending on what you're trying to achieve:
A. Two chariots with crew, six cavalry, six foot
B. One chariot with crew, eight cavalry, eight foot
C. Zero chariots (save them to use with our regular horses if you want!), 10 cavalry, 10 foot
As said above they're almost finished with tooling and then we'll be onto box printing, injection, and getting them out to you. No release date yet.
Figures sculpted by Rob Macfarlane, Chariot by Thieu Duong. Painting by Jason Frowde of Painting Knights. Illustration by Peter Dennis. Box design by Henry Hyde. The column pieces are by Artisan Guild Miniatures.

Hayley – it’s only a matter of time once they’re released!

Hayley - January 5, 2024

Thanks for the answer! I must confess, I do like the idea of two skeletons enjoying a ride together!

Hayley – without the extras there’d be no chance to have the option to have the muscled cuirass – you would have all of one or the other or a weird half and half mix. The extras give you more variety and since we’re not selling models by the piece it doesn’t even matter! Throw them away, convert them to skeleton parts, make dioramas of two skellies enjoying a ride together, whatever strikes your fancy!

Looks great! What’s the utility of having 15 rider skeletons if there are only 10 horses in the box, is my only concern?

russell mccaughan - December 22, 2023

Hi russell here.do they match up size wise to your earlier skeleton fantasy range.cheers

Is there a release date established yet for this?

Alan Wescoat - November 30, 2023

When? When will these actually be available? Last year, I made the mistake of ordering Harvesters for Christmas and then not getting them, expecting them for my birthday five weeks later and not getting them, and waiting all the way until the end of February when all of my modelling time had expired before the package arrived.

So when are these actually coming out and expected to be in stock worldwide?

If you get 15 riders in each box but only 10 horses… no matter how you put them together, there will always be more riders than horses. Would there be a box with only undead horses in the future or something? How difficult (or bad looking) would be to use those extra riders as foot soldiers? Maybe the extra riders can be mounted in the chariots as crew?
Thanks

[“Skeleton Warriors” theme intensifies]

I’m really looking forward to adding these to my undead. It’s going to be tough to choose between making all cavalry, or make chariots. (I’m mainly going to use these in One Page Rules: Age of Fantasy. As either a Corpse Cart or porting over chariot units from the “Mummified Undead” list.)

If the decision become unbearable, I can always buy multiples of the box.

Pygmy - November 18, 2023

You’ve done it again! So happy you’re releasing this set. Exactly what I need, in the ratio of chariots:cavalry that I need. Will be buying several!
