Survey! Smaller Scales in Hard Plastic!

Survey! Smaller Scales in Hard Plastic!

Until now we've been 100% focused on 28mm (as it is God's own scale as everyone knows!) If we ever ventured out of 28mm and went for a smaller scale for more big battle action - what would you like to see us do?

Leave your email below and we'll pick someone to get some free plastics. Choose as many scales as you'd like!

Another vote for 1/76 (20mm) 1/72nd (let’s see, 6 feet, divided by 72… carry the one… that would be about 25mm). I don’t know how the Gaming community went from the Hincliffe/Minifigs 25mm to 28mm. If we want to get more younger folk into the hobby we need an appropriate entry-level point and there is a mass of 1/72nd soft plastics for them to start on, where do they go next for a more premium look? 28mm means restarting as you can’t really mix 28mm with 20mm/25mm.

1/72! Please, please, please! I loved the PSC figures but WA would be even better!

Currently my gaming, based on scale is,
28mm for skirmish games usually less than 100 figures aside.
10mm mainly fantasy, left over from Warmaster but a now play other rules.
6mm ancient and medieval stuff
I am currently using 2mm or 3mm to create actual battle(limited space) and to try out periods I have not played before.

I personally think 6mm, in a genre or setting you don’t currently cover heavily, would be a great idea. I would love to see 6mm 17th, 18th or 19th century naval warfare and 6mm medieval.

I would also like to see 1/72 miniatures from you guys!

I would like to see more in 6mm/8mm. However with a catch. To simply produce individual figurines may not materially matter. What may be a key for gamers is a “block” of say 9 figurines, arranged 3×3 on a 10mm 10mm base. To represent three files of three ranks (and some 2×3 for two rank units). With figures close up so there us no space between. The key being useful blocks to give the usual impact withour exaggerated base depths. Ie part of thd visual mass appeal.

Possibly with starter sets in campaign look (ie greatcoat & shako covers) so French can pretty much cover most minor German etc.

Apart from skirmish and GW dino games, a smaller scale benefitsbalot of systems. Modern conflicts play better in smaller scales as you can simulate ranges better amd you can also have more miniatures on a table, while not overcrowding the table.

I would absolutely love to see WA jumping on Warlords Epic scale (and style). I would especially like to see new periods that Warlords currently do not do such as Dark ages (1066) and Medieval.

I’ve been somewhat interested in 6/8mm science fiction miniatures for a while now, but always end up feeling that the terrain, matts, and other accoutrements would require too much of an investment to be worth it. Will probably give it a shot at some indeterminate point in the future, just because some of the 3D terrain for modern/near future cities looks like they’d be fun to paint and battle over, but it’ll probably be years from now.
