Assyrian Archers

A large and organized army allowed the Assyrians to become a powerhouse of the ancient near east. While their main line would be composed of armored infantry, this hardened center would be screened by lighter infantry. Archers were employed to whittle down the enemy ranks as they advanced, and would contribute to many victories.

This set allows you to build units of lightly armored Assyrian archers featuring the curved Assyrian bow. The heads in this set all sport the unique assyrian beard with its distinct, rectangular shape.
