King Odenathus with Guards
DIGITAL PRODUCT
Septimus Odenathus developed and ruled the Kingdom of Palmyra, from the city of the same name. A client state to Rome, Odenathus would act as a buffer between the Empire and Sassanian Persia. Odenathus would win several victories against the Persians, crossing the euphrates and even besieging Ctesiphon.
Odenathus would be assassinated in 267AD during immediately following a campaign in Anatolia. May he should have doubled his guard!
