Spanish Dragoons 1809
DIGITAL PRODUCT
The Spanish fought hard to throw off the yoke of Napoleonic rule. This included former regular army units, including cavalry regiments. Spanish Dragoons served across Spain in multiple battles such as Medellin, Almonacid, and Talavera, directed by a Junta of Spanish Generals.
In 1808, Spanish cavalry regiments were reorganized. Each regiment would have four squadrons of 50 men, though in 1809 this would be reduced to 3 squadrons.
