Is the French infantry of this period expected to be plastic?
If you are talking about French Revolution infantry (you know the war in europe with all the beheadings and crimes against humanity), then I think that is already available on the market or well be shortly, just not from WA which is okay (I would rather have WA focus on Warring States Chinese and New Kingdom Egyptians, both are more versitial for historical and fantasy gaming than the FRW).
However given you added 1775 and your other post, your probably talking about French for the AWI. To my knowledge there are no plans to make French for that war anywhere and I am not sure if its a real need beyond navy troops. I know when Wargames Factory was making a fullish AWI range (the hill they died on as far as in house manufactured sets go), they didn't really think the French where as big a need as Hussians and I hear more requests for Scottish mercs under British contract when this topic comes up than the French.
WGA is a bit of tempermental beast when it comes to plastics releases, lol. They tend to focus on filling gaps in the market rather than trying to directly compete. Given that there aren't any other french revolutionary war models, the answer is a solid maybe? They might want to expand into french and indian war models, too. I'd guess that they'd do something like privateers, hussians, or natives first, then expand into the more niche stuff. Maybe a digital? IDK much about what's on the market, but it could be cool to have more characterful napoleonics for the Silver Bayonet.
