A mix of damned heavy infantry, a couple of ooh rah bodies, ooh rah weapons and heads, and anvil infantry jet packs.
Very pleased with these
...and a sentry from Les grognards
Oooh I picked wisely to grab Oohra and a lot of heavies. Really good set, I love their frames.
I bought gaunt's ghosts from gee dubs to go with my damned and bulldogs. Man the gw figures are massive! I'm sure they weren't that enormous back in the 90s
@Seventyone hell, my minis from 2017, 2018 look teeny next to new ones 🤣 I think there was a big scale shift in around 2018-2020. cool minis btw
@timbus the thirteenth Yeah, that seems right. It seems like they replaced the Space Marines with the Astartes, upped the scale on those, and then felt the need to make the regular humans larger as well. I honestly think WGA does a better job at the scaling. Need to work on getting more of those primary weapons on the sprues- and maybe release a generic heads sprue rather than make 800,000 different heads per box, but overall, I like what they got going on.
@Seventyone no, they weren't. I didn't get started in 40k until 1999, and even the minis from that time are small compared to the new ones. I have an original Last Chancers set, and next to the Sororitas novitiates I have, they are short. The old school Cadians (metal variety) look dopey next to the new space nuns (but they look good with the Last Chancers). Really contemplating getting that Damned army box to go with my LC set. I think they'd fit right in. Use some of the Cannon Fodder heads for some hard bitten conscripts, and you've got a really interesting "Last Chancers" army. Or a ragtag band of desperate milita soldiers stuck behind alien lines, using every last scrap of kit they can find to get the job done.
