So, I like dwarves. They're the bestest and the greatest. (And they're vikings, too, this is just self-evident truth and no, you can't argue). So, to play some space games I needed some space dwarves too. Like maybe 12 of them would be what I'd need, so I could play some nice skirmish games or something. But then there was a thing where I made one design and liked it but then I came up with something else, another combination I just absolutely needed to try and well... Now I got some space dwarves.

The currently ready lot, the whole of them. It's a mixture of GW stuff, some Oathmark dwarf bodies, heads and arms, Einherjar, Raumjägers, Spacenam and the Marcher GIs and one cloak from the Blood Oaths Irish.
They also have a walker, with a trailer. Another walker that's got a platform on the same legs as the cockpit is still in the workshop.
A mining-wagon with a laser-cutter and a platform. Gotta have those railings up to code.
A couple of highlights from the batch. These are the newest bunch. I think I like these Oathmark bodies the best, and the hooded heads too. Both GI and Raumjäger weapons look really very nice on them. The cloak took a bit of fitting but it did end up sitting there. Would need to figure out either shaving a bit or reshaping the cloak maybe if I want some more of those cloaky dorfs, and I might well.
Raumjäger and Spacenam arms with Oathmark bodies. The Spacenam arms are a little too bulky and don't fit well with full sleeves. Raumjäger arms and weapons both sit pretty well with the style.
With short sleeves, however, Spacenam arms + Einherjar bodies is a very, very good look.
GI arms work nicely with Einherjar bodies, and again, short sleeves are brilliant.
Here, the comparison between long-sleeves+ Oathmark bodies and short sleeves + Einherjar bodies can be drawn.
If there's one thing I've come to wish for in WGA kits with this project, it's scifi/soldier backpacks/powerpacks. Not that many on the Raumjäger and Einherjar.
Now, I've said this project is done 3, 4 times now. I'm not gonna say it's done. But I'm not sure which bits I'm gonna wanna try bashing in there next. I wonder if those Grognard-arms'd look good...
