Sergeant Stubby

Sergeant Stubby was the unofficial mascot of the 1-102nd Infantry Regiment during in World War I. He served for 18 months and participated in 17 battles on the Western Front. He saved his regiment from mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded, and once caught a German soldier by his pants and holding him until American soldiers found him!
