It's Not All Dungeons and Battlefields! Two New Sets for Classic Fantasy!

It's Not All Dungeons and Battlefields! Two New Sets for Classic Fantasy!

Pre-orders open Friday February 7th for these TWO new Classic Fantasy box sets!

These two hard plastic sets were sculpted by Rob Macfarlane and will also be part of Grey For Now's new game: Guards of Traitor's Toll

These sets are absolutely chock full of interesting bits that can all be combined to create hundreds of unique characters. Populate your Fantasy (or Medieval!) villages and cities. Create groups of adventurers. Build an army of regular folk. Mix and match with the Peasant Levy from the Age of Chivalry range. The possibilities are endless!

The first set are the Guards:

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 24 guards, adventurers, mercenaries, henchmen, or whatever else your imagination can do with this incredible assortment of parts! There are unique male and female bodies on the frame, loads of add on items, a variety of weapons and arm types, and 26 unique heads to allow for massive customization!

The second release is Villagers:

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 24 villagers. There are three unique male and female bodies on the frame representing the poor, middle class, and wealthier citizens. Add on clothing items, open hands with lots of extra bits, and 30 unique heads allow for massive customization!

Both sets will be available to pre-order on February 7th and will release worldwide on Friday February 21! Come back next week to get your pre-order in so you'll have them in your hands on release day!

Will this be compatible with the age of chivalry sets?

I have no use for either of these, yet I want them both. The Guards I could use for Trench Crusade, the Villagers look like a fun kit full of cool bits. Suppose I can do a Mordheim warband or something for Forbidden Psalm.

Quick questions about pre-orders: if I pre-order the Guards set (which looks fantastic!) on Friday Feb 7th when is it likely to be sent/delivered (I’m in UK)? Got a campaign coming up shortly and I’ve been waiting for these guys but it’s going be tight and I’d like to have an idea if I need to have a back up plan ready! Thanks.

Hi Rob – we warehouse in both the US and UK and our new worldwide release dates mean that every pre-order will have already shipped out by the time the release date comes around (which in this case will be February 21st) Shipping in the UK from the Nottingham area typically takes 2-3 days at most. Thanks!

Those Guards are PERFECT for some Frostgrave Mercs

Holy Cow, that Guard box is so good. I need to find a way to use those in AOS or something.

Love the idea of both of these! So verstaile!

You guys have been hitting it out of the park lately! Both sets look like they’ll be very useful for all sorts of purposes, especially for fantasy table-top RPGs where they’ll make for some excellent NPCs, player characters, villains, and even monsters (just add a bit of imagination there, and perhaps some bits from the zombies set, for example!)

The villager bitz and bodies could come in handy for sci-fi, pulp, steampunk, weird western, and a few other outside-the-box settings, for that matter – the top hat alone looks like it’ll be a fun bit to work with, and those little odds-and-ends for the characters to hold or carry and bits of loose costuming like the aprons are endlessly useful for odd jobs to add character to almost anything.

Both the figures and the bitz will surely even come in handy to add a little variety to historical armies, too, or to designate unique/important “hero” characters, leaders, and the like.

Well done!

These would be EXCELLENT minis for Anthems of War

Jayson Stewart - January 31, 2025

Fantastic looking sets, I’ll be getting both.
