Ooh Rah Planning to "Get Some"

The Ooh Rah are a relatively new team to the Death Fields Circuit having only been established a little over a century ago. Comprised of members of the 33rd Marine Expeditionary Unit, the team was abducted during a colonial uprising on New Florida. An upcoming star on the circuit, the Ooh Rah bring the highly-trained and multi-disciplinary approach honed into them as America's force-in-readiness across her expanding interstellar empire (still thousands of light years from true galactic civilization) They are a team to watch.

 

As we prepare this new faction for Death Fields, we have outfitted them with standard rifles (including underslung grenade launcher), pistols, shotguns, and a squad support weapon. What other weapon types would you like us to try to include in the set? Comment below or in the forum.

Great stuff, looking forward to this one!

At least for me, it seems like a chainsaw would be evergreen for this sort of thing. A plasma torch/flamer also seems appropriate. The hand-grenade in the screenshot isn’t mentioned in the weapon list, but please keep it in the set, too.

Otherwise, pistols, rifles, rifle-grenade launchers, shotguns, and a heavy weapon (like a Gatling “minigun” or autocannon) works for me.

Seems like a sub-machine gun, sniper rifle, BFGs, and other heavy weapons wouldn’t be out of place, but I’m fine with seeing things like that wait for a heavy/command set.

The only other thing I can think of to add might be radios, and tablet computers for the platoon’s deckers and hackers who operate drones and sentry guns, and who break into bases, along with the drones and sentries themselves, but that sort of thing can also always wait for a command/heavy set.

Ooh Rah, like Cannon Fodder, is one of those factions that to me bulky suits of powered armor for heavy support just seem to fit in with! Reaper’s Bones “Blackstar Corsairs” work fine for this sort of thing, but I wouldn’t argue with seeing power armor included in the command set as part of the heavy weaponry, either.

Would love to see some ODST Type Helmets, Railguns and, shoulder fired Lazer cannons in addition to the usual fare of Plasmagun, Flamer, Grenade Launcher.

I just have to say that I can’ wait for these. They look amazing and already my little mind is racing away with ideas and in which games I can use these. Please tell me that they won’t be long.
