Pick Our March Theme!

Yes you read that right - March! We're hard at work on January (All Things Africa) and have started work on February (Dealer's Choice) so let's get a jump on March and see if we can get some files released to our Tribes members before Caesar becomes a scabbard!

Help decide our March theme here!

Asia for the Ming.
Largest army of the world for around 250 years, and never really covered – not even in metal. The only existing stuff are projects on Facebook and 1:72 plastics available only in China. Aside from some epic battles in the early phase against Yuan with one of the largest naval battles in history we do have some of the largest civil wars in history, some iconic battles against the Samurai during the Imjin war and the eternal and ultimately, if more by bad chance, lost struggle against Mongols, Jurchen and Mandchu.

That said, I hope the “Dealers Choice” for February includes Oarsmen and Sailors for their Viking ship. Good historical accurate minis for that are rare, in physical or digital form.

Lol for all things Asia there should be a yak to go a long with the bison and buffalo. A good bovine collection

Honestly, I was kinda disappointed with “What If…” 1. Was hoping to see some more plausible twists (neutrals that didn’t fight, technologies that existed but didn’t quite make it to the battlefield in large enough number to make an impact, etc.). Asia however does have a lot of interesting stuff. Only possible difficulty is Napoleonic, unless one does non-Napoleonic conflict in the timeframe (Zheng Yi Sao’s pirates? Kandyan Wars?), since the Indians deployed by the British (as far as I’m aware) are just headswaps and the other involvement was naval skirmishes.

Asia. The Chinese heavy infantry, Japanese samurai, and Mongol heavy cavalry all sound impressive.

All things Asia, I am a big fan of the Mongolian aesthetic.

I say all things asia. I would love to see some later Han to Jin dynasty cavalry to flesh out the excellent infantry you shown for the ‘December’ release. For Dark ages what about either Tang dynasty Chinese or Late Heian Japanese? For Renaissance I would say Ming Chinese for the Imjin War. WW2 begs from more Chinese too… or maybe… IJA Cavalry for China?

If winter wins, I would love to see Ötzi the iceman with all of his gear!

Death Fields please, Raumjäger cavalry/bikers, heavy weapon teams/artillery, command units would all be very nice.

All things Asia has a lot of potential. MONGOLS and their steppe ponies. Indian war elephants or just Indian elephants that would then open the door to sets for ancient Indian, Vietnamese, Thailand and Burmese forces as well as many others and to compliment the Indian archers we got. Russians: basically any line. Samurai style deathfields force. Vietnam War. Could be promising.
