Skeleton Cavalry!

Skeleton Cavalry!

Our very first set is getting a follow up with hard plastic Skeleton Cavalry! Rob has just finished up all the parts and we are in layout now and soon to be off to tooling.

Here's Peter Dennis' (almost finished) artwork!

And here are the parts that will be going into the layout:

We don't yet know how many of these parts will fit on the layout - but we're hopeful that all of them will! As you can see there are some curious regular standing bodies in the mix - why you ask? Well...

We had previously tooled up a Bronze Age chariot in anticipation of all the coming Trojan, Egyptian, etc. sets. We thought it would be fun (and useful) to have them included with the Skeleton Cavalry (and make appropriate crew too!)

As you can see we also have extra puddle bases so you can either use the bodies as chariot crew or alternatively make them into standard skeleton infantry.

We've ALSO added some Dark Age/Late Roman-era specific helmeted heads and long swords/spatha. So if you decided to go with a non-Greek theme you have some options.

The final configuration of the box is up in the air until the layout comes back. Just to be safe Rob has designed a third horse body (which has halves that work with these four halves as well) so we may end up just making a separate 1/2 frame of only skeleton horses and then reconfigure how we do the riders/infantry/crew. We'll let you know how it goes!

Only getting one box but cant wait.

This is great!
I was just looking for quality design and affordable skeleton chariots for Oathmark!
Hope the wait isn’t long!

I also believe the skeleton horses would be better if also available separately. I imagin there are people that would want them for terrain or dioramas.

I hope you guys do some heavy infantry for this army. They are almost a perfect Tomb Kings replacement.

I would also buy a command box for these guys, like the one being made for The Damned.

JMcMillen - September 6, 2023

I definitely like the idea of the skeleton horses being on their own sprue, especially if they could be purchased separately for those that might need some extras.

These look great! Something else I would dearly like to see is a set of skeletons and zombies of other fantasy races, Orcs, Goblins, Ratfolk etc, with weapons typical of other fantasy races too.. GW did some in metal back in the 1990s and Grenadier did some skeletal “Ratmen” in the late ‘80s early ’90s, but I’m not aware of any others.
Such a set would be great for adding variety to undead hordes.

You’ll need to include more and varied shields to go with the Roman/Dark Age heads.

Oh boy. Chariots!!

I love it, Wicked Awesome, now I will be able to finish my Skeleton Army. Love the Ogre Skeletons to but have a huge problem with getting them, NO 3D Printer, they are amazing, but I can’t see them as rank-and-file pikemen, more like brute line breakers to throw at your enemy Ranked up infantry, so maybe some clubs or large swords, axes like in Crete, and I’m thinking of using the Bull horned skulls to make unit of hand weapon for my flanks, any chance of skeleton none human heads like or Orcs goblins dwarfs kobolds lizards elf’s heck whole body frames of them in plastic, heck the battlefields are littered with the dead of more than just humans, Thank you for the plastic Cavalry, and to give me the dream of other Skeleton frames in the future, please stay safe and thanks for your time, Daniel T. Lillis.

I like the heavier legs of these skellys. My 9 year old grandson plays OPR mummified undead, and I have a worry about the spindly legs on the regular skellys.

theme tune to Skeleton Warriors cartoon plays in head

Love me a skelly-boy army. I used to have one back in the old Rogue Trader days, when GW were a bit more generous with their offerings, and sold plastic boxes of 30 minis for about a tenner.

I particularly like the idea of a roman skeleton army. Definitely would have fun setting up dioramas of Testudo and shield walls!
