Valhalla Reviews the WW2 Italians!

Rex and Dan of Valhalla Games forwarded a comprehensive review and painting video of the upcoming WW2 Italians. They recently completed a successful Kickstarter for their Battle of Primosole Bridge campaign book. Check out the video here:

When we moved all production to the US (from China) at the end of last year it's taken us a little longer than we expected to get set up and running. The injection press is in now and all the plastic for this set (along with the Panzer Lehr and the Death Fields Weapon Upgrade Sprue 001) has been run. We're now just waiting on our new US-based box printer to deliver the packaging for these and they'll soon be off to their respective warehouses in the US, UK, and Australia. Sorry about the delay but now that we've ironed out the kinks we'll be able to bring new plastic sets to you much, much faster with the Conquistadors and Aztecs about to go on the press (and their boxes are part of that first print run too!)

The Italian set looks great, but to echo Cixila’s ssentiment, a plastic early war Polish infantry set would be fantastic.

Any chances of seeing Polish WW2 soldiers in the future?

Great paintjob… I like that…

The M33 helmet looks a bit strange, somewhat like a modern soldier helmet, nonetheless, the set is real nice. Bayonets are awesome. However, I still miss some figures in shorts or short sleeves, considering there’re heads in pith helmets, and that uniform is mostly for warm seasons.

Looking like a great set – I’m not a WWII gamer, but I might grab a couple boxes of these guys anyway, just because the bits look like they’ll come in handy for other projects, and the uniforms look like they’d be useful for lots of different WWI, WWII, and interwar projects.

@Douglas Crabtree – according to the release schedule, those Napoleonic Spanish are undergoing additional sculpting. I’m sure they’re making their way down the pike as quickly as Wargames Atlantic can move them! (Just look at that release schedule – Wargames Atlantic’s sculptors must be some of the busiest in the industry! My hat’s off to them!)

I have spoken to you about this before. I am old and have too many unpainted figures. You keep producing boxes I want, no need. If you continue, I will be forced to tell my wife about you. You DO NOT WANT THAT!

Your friend,
Steve

What happened to the Napoleonic Spanish ?
