A NEW KIND OF WARGAMES BASE

These are a new kind of base that has been designed to work with figures that have either an integral “puddle” base or flat feet. One side has a 1mm indented recess so that figures with puddle bases will have their feet flush with the edge and eliminate that “standing on a hill” look. The other side is flat for figures which will have their feet glued directly to the base. These bases have a low 2mm profile to blend well with the tabletop and there are also two 3mm x 1mm hole to add a magnet for secure storage or for use with a movement tray.

An easy way to improve your cavalry

From before the dawn of time, 25mm x 50mm (or 1" x 2") has been the standard base size for horses, cattle, centaurs, etc. These double-sided bases allow you to mount your horses easily whether they have puddle bases or not, yet stand on the same level.
The bases are 25x50mm, with rounded ends, so they look less jarring against the tabletop, and have one flat side for figures without bases, and the other side recessed, with a rim, for figures with existing bases. They also have two 3mm magnet holes so you can easily insert magnets for transport.
I populate my corrals and hitching rails with PVC horses which have no bases - I mount them on the flat side and they have stability. Other horses with bases I attach to the recessed side and they are stable - but not standing on a little hill. The horses have a uniform, finished look.
These are fast and convenient, and most of all, they look good. Recommended.

As I have both metal horses with puddle bases and plastic horses with no bases, these are the ideal solution for both.
