My Collection.

  • Mostly Cannon Fodder and Grognards with some others mixed in along with GW IG stuff with some conversions and, forgive me, some attempts at sculpting.

  • Pretty neat, they all look like from a single unit despite being vastly different models! Love the grounded style and "out of trenches" vibe of army that fight a long campaign.

Small tip, where's your light source? It seems it would be better to show dark painted minis with light going from behind your camera. They will also contrast better on dark background if it's possible.

  • Good, because, "out of the trenches" is exactly the look I was hoping to achieve.

And as I know nothing of photography I will take any advice into consideration.

In fear of boring people this started by rolling up a regiment on one of those "roll a regiment" charts which surprisingly came out rather sound, heavy infantry, trench/siege warfare specialists from a lost homeworld.

As I am a bit of a polonophile i drew inspiration from the Poles (espescialy WW2), giving me the excuse to mix and match various minis and explain it as being supplied by different sources.

Just for fun the theme of the cannon fodder for example were pics froma Soldier of Fortune magazine from the late 80's early 90s.

  • Found some WA minis in my roleplay box, namely some picts (served as bandits or barbarians), halflings and undead.

  • Seeing as it looks like my dream of a scifi Polish cavalry set isjust that I attempted to sculpt something that looked similar enough.

Grognards with putty added to their kepi to resemble the rogatywka, below, fittingly, the version made for the Polish army in France 1917-18
