I've decided to reignite a painting blog here on the Legion forum, as I have been adding to my Late Roman legion since the Army Builder set came out.
For newcomers, this project is based for hail caesar (until we make our own mass battle Antiquity game) and i make units in 2 sizes.
5 elements of 4, making 20 soldiers.

5 rows of 5 elements, making 100 soldiers.
Yes, I am aware Contubernium were in multiples of 8, and the standard century was most likely 80 men with 20 non combatant staff. I like big units, however.
Current work in progress units include:
1 legionary unit in lorica hamata
1 unarmored Limitanei spearmen unit
1 unarmored Saggitarium unit
Current completed units include:
1 Foederati Infantry with melee weapons and shields.
My next WIP for the army is filling out and finishing the legionary unit in Lorica Hamata. Updates will be forthcoming.
