Are the two sets coming to Death Fields or does the big W have them with the bikers and zombies and the stuff they branded for the nowhere spelled backwards game? I heard the defiance stuff might come back, and Mark Moondragon might be up to more.
Any word?
pretty sure that given how Wargames factory ended up, the old WF greatcoats either now belong to warlord games, or still belongs to Wargames factory (which still exists on paper in china, though they don't make anything anymore.) would depend on wether warlord bought the scifi line alongside zombie and historicals lines.
Defiance just collapsed finacially, so the rights to its various miniatures designs remained with its owner, which is why WGA might be able to revist those. to get the wargames factory stuff they'd have to either buy the rights back from the chinese executives that screwed them over originally, or convince warlord games to sell them.
i would argue though that the Raumjager are already effectivelly "great coats 2.0", and can say definitvely that WGA's current products are much better sculpted and produced than the old wargames factory stuff.
@Mithril2098 they could also be just gone, those where some pretty old molds.
i was thinking more obtaining the legal details of the ownership and the 3D files used to make them.
@Mithril2098 well, I am not sure the 3D models would still be around either.
Also I am not sure Warlord owns the manufacturing right to the old WGF stuff so much as the distribution right which is a very diffrent thing.
The Grongards have the Greatcoats vibe already. Not the exact same, but VERY close. Id like to see some WWI/ early WWII Americans. It'd be an easy kit to make. Just need three head types, and two rifles. Maybe a BAR per sprue. Would be a very dope kit.
@Battle Specter warlord's winter american infantry are FANTASTIC for any kind of greatcoat needs, imo.
