I posted just before X-mas that Eileen and my self wanted to push on with our "Dinnos" project. That was until we gained a lodger, some of you may have seen an elderly female cat as moved into our shed, and therfore its cat stopped play. She stays in so much we have practically lost our shed. Untill we can get her to join the familly indoors, Dinnos are out.
So since "Nam is all indoors, this is were I go. With GG it`s the "Year of the Quar", for me now, it`s "Nam all the way Man." One thing that preperations does is stop mistakes hopefully being made. Take these photos for instance.
Note the Taxis in this blown up picture, when looked at at night a couple of months ago, I thought "AREH an Old VW" particulary when this picture was posted and a guy commented on an easy conversion.
Then there was this photo also.
Now I`m begining to see a different taxi here. So more cheaking finds me this.
Sadly she`s a 1/35th scale kit butit is the right vehicle. Paytiance is the only thing now to Rubicon do one of there resin master pieces.Till then I`ll leave you with these delightfull gems of a nice kit "Taxi any one". Cheers Geoff.
This back view although different as many same areas as a VW. I`m glad i didn`t press on with what had been stated as an easy conversion all the Taxis were this car.
@JTam I agree. Easy model to find in 1/43. And I think it is a nicely characterful looking car.
@Geoff Maybury
Is this the everything Vietnam wargaming thread now?
@JTam It would be a good idea perhaps, I`ve got that French car for Nam by Rubicon in 1/56th.This is one of my favorite photos.
Thats one way to tranport the 106 around. Might make a good converstion model.
