I own two FDM printers and a resin printer and have been printing for a little over a year. The reason I am not a tribe member is because I am attempting to focus on only a few periods. Having multiple eras in the tribes release is of less use to me than buying specific sets off the MMF website. I currently sub to The Printing Goes Ever On, That Evil One, Medbury Miniatures (historical and Fantasy), One Page Rules, Ghamak and Reconquer Designs. I am interested in these periods: LotR/WotR, ACW 15mm, ECW 28mm, NWF 28mm, Napoleonics 15mm, GW (40K, BFG, Necromunda), Battletech, North Africa 15mm, Reconquista 28mm. (Yeah, I know, that does not sound like a few!) I hope to see more of your releases in the NWF and the Iron Core universe (get that wheeled Eisenkern transport out, please!)

I am interested in 3D printable ancient figs, specially those of Hellenistic era and I’ ve already purchased your Greek Hoplites. Thureophoroi digital project (First Empires) looked very promising, however it has yet to be released. Any information when it will be available?

The fact you have to ask us WHY some of us don’t have 3d printers feels a little gaslighty to me. I’ve only started printing stuff recently because my college has an FDM printer. But honestly my main interest in WGA is the PLASTIC miniatures. Everybody’s doing 3d printing because “It’s da fyooture!” I’m honestly getting sick and tired of the constant blabbering that 3d printing is the only alternative to GW. Those people sound both inpatient and pretentious as fuck. I’m noting how little news we’ve recently gotten for the plastic sets. Almost every week its 3d printing, 3d printing, 3d printing and the only plastic news we’ve gotten is you’ve put which plastic sets get prioritized first if they hit a specific benchmark to a vote. Also, what about the LGS’ like Joe mentioned?

I’m honestly sick and tired of this tribes thing already. Sure it’s great for small-scale stuff if you’re really interested in that. But how much you’ve shoved 3d printing in our faces even though you were a plastic company feels like you’re just trend chasing. I’ve moved out of the One Page Rules community because all it has become is GW bashing and 3d printing shilling. Also, I’m still salty about those hideous Kobolds that feel half-assed.

I don’t own a resin printer and am unlikely to any time soon.

I do like the possibility of buying the printed minis from only-games.co, although I wish they shipped from the US.

I live in a two-bedroom apartment with my wife who is an artist. Our 2nd bedroom is her studio. Although I have researched 3D Printers and are quite familiar with them unfortunately, I do not, at the present time, have the room for one.

Hopefully, when I retire in 2024, I might move again and have the space for something like a 3D Printer.

I don’t know enough about 3D printing to know if I should buy one. While the myriad of files offered is a great deal, most of them would go unused for me. My miniature interests are fairly narrow. That doesn’t mean that I won’t get one in the future.

With my living situation, I don’t have room for a 3D printer or the ventilation to use one safely. I also don’t have the money to spend on a 3D printer. I’d rather take the $36 I’d spend on 3 months of STL files I’m not likely to use or can’t use and buy a box of multi-part plastic miniatures I’ll definitely use. And while it’s cool to see so many unique designs available through your Tribe, I’m still waiting on updates and releases for things like fantasy trolls that were announced over a year ago.

The tribes do sound interesting, however, wouldn’t this hurt any LGS that carries your products? I like your models, and often point my friends that play historicals (like me) or fantasy games towards your lines as they are a great value, and my LGS carries them. Are the tribes exclusive only to MMF or are they items that are also sold at retail?

I have not subscribed as the cost is prohibitive for the few minis released so far that interest me.
Major forces in NW Europe, my area of interest, have not really been covered.
