Classic Fantasy Battles Test Drive!

Andy Hobday made the pilgrimage to Wargames Atlantic Central this week and we were able to spend some time discussing all kinds of upcoming products, games, and long term projects - but primarily he came to take us all through the paces of his Classic Fantasy Battles rules! 

Gaz hits Charlie's Dwarven cavalry in the flank while they are locked in combat with his Orc spearmen. Meanwhile his Orc cavalry is about to crash into their rear. Not looking good for Charlie!

Predictably, Gaz has triumphed. Charlie drowns his sorrows in a glass of very fine Burgundian pinot. C'est la vie!

Classic Fantasy Battles by Andy Hobday is looking to be an incredibly flexible, fun, challenging, and flavorful mass battle game with loads of character. Even with constant discussion over mechanics, details, and how the game would work as a product, they played out a full battle in about 2 hours. 

More playtesting will be taking place over the next several weeks to dial everything in but this game is well on track for a late 2025 release (and of course you'll be seeing LOTS of plastic sets in the lead up!) Andy will be back at WACentral next month to playtest yet ANOTHER new game as well.
