I’m no marketing expert or anything like that, so take me with a grain of salt, but something tells me that human, dwarf, and elf kits are just a “no-brainer”: they will take the cake every time.
As for what I’d like seeing, I’m going to go with underserved niches, or even original things that nobody else is doing, and most of them are mentioned by others already:
- Halfling adventurers in rustic costumes, to complement the armored militia (it’s just the thing that Halfling “burglars”, wizards, and so on would wear!)
- Cat-folk (give ’em sort of an Arabian Nights kinda costuming? I always had a soft spot for HeroQuest computer game “Kattas”….)
- “Neanderthal” / “Cave-Man” types (they used to be kinda common in pulp fantasy thanks to Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E. Howard, but fell out of fashion with the D&D and Tolkien crazes…)
- Ghouls, Goblins, Dark Fey (I’d really like to see something outside the old D&D/Tolkien high elf vs. orc-goblin-hobgoblin box! Something a little darker and creepier than elves, yet equally RPG adventurer- and villain-friendly….)
- Aliens (the set of alien heads available digitally is cool stuff, I’ve been making fantasy and sci-fi monsters and characters alike with them, and would love to see them as a more complete set)
- Humans in the style of the WGA Digital HMS Ship Doctor character released a few weeks ago – give a bunch of these guys, with slight variations on the costume, some swords, flintlock pistols and muskets, spellbooks, and the like in a plastic kit, and I’d be all over that! (It seems like all the coolest WGA stuff lately has been digital-only….)

Making the costuming and gear wherever possible flexible enough to double/triple for both sci-fi and medieval and/or renaissance fantasy, for a dual/triple-purpose kit like the lizard men, would be greatly appreciated!
I do like the illustration for the poll – will your team be using it as reference art? I kinda hope so – it’s a bit different from what the other guys are doing, and I like that, and unlike the usual medieval fare, it wouldn’t look very far out of place in a sci-fi setting, especially given a little updating of a few details here and there!
