Landsknecht Ogres Preview!

Landsknecht Ogres Preview!

Final tooling is underway for the contest-winning Landsknecht Ogres! To give you a taste of what's on the way here is Andreas Heneborn's work on the fantasy versions (Matthew Leahy is doing the Death Fields versions)

We wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that charge!

Tooling is almost finished for these and here are the layouts for the two full sprues that make up this set:

As you can see there are lots of bits and bobs to customize them and a full set of parts to create The Vain - the Death Fields mercenary group made up of former Landsknecht soldiers who underwent genetic modifications to be bigger and stronger (without, of course, being told they would also become hideously disfigured!)

As tooling wraps up we will be having the boxes designed for this set and it should all be coming together for release in the not too distant future!

Fantastic! I’ve started collecting a smattering of generic fantasy humans/halflings (with WFB in mind) so I’d better grab these! Does this mean a grimdark style ogre soldiers might also be in the works?

I’ve been waiting for this release ever since the contest. It looks pretty good.

Love that one head option per sprue has a bushy beard and mustache. Really adds flavor to the set that isn’t seen as often among ogre minis.

Love that there’s a trail of spent shell casings, so the SF builds can have some nice dynamism.

There are heads holding wicks in their mouths, for the hand-cannon users. That’s a great touch. Love it.

Definitely going to pick up a box or two when these come out. Maybe alongside a box of Conquistadors, so I can start a Dogs of War army. I don’t care what some people say, I like this kit.

I love this set! I really like how you make it possible to satisfy my interests of multiple genres in 1 box and its super reasonably priced for all of the options. I have been debating on rebuilding my Conquistador army ,but I don’t have time to do heavy conversions for non historical uses of them. Now I can finally do it with ease! Thank you!

Hi there,

thanks for sharing. I’m looking forward to this box. I will definitely buy some boxes if the supplied bits in it are enough to be used as Warhammer Army Project Dogs of War Ogers, For example I will buy it if there are enough pistols in each box to give every Oger one.

Best Wishes

I was super excited about these a year ago when they were first teased. I’d there a more generic set coming in the vain of the first teaser? If not I’m really disappointed.

Those are looking excellent. I am looking forward to getting my hands on them. An inquisitors body guard in the making. Very versitile for fantasy, steam punk or sci fi.

How many sprues to a box?

Great works folks.
