New Set Announcement: British Infantry (1916-1918)

We can present the first batch of sculpts for the next set in our Great War range: British Infantry (1916-1918)!

(open image in a new tab for a close up)

This is where we are in the sculpting process. We have some more arms and another body pose to do.

These could also be useful for the pre-war period, the interwar period (VBCW anyone?), and with a bit of squinting even into WW2! (Although probably better left to our World Ablaze range!)

Let us know what you think of them below and we will continue to move them along! Which WW1 set should we tackle next? Post your thoughts and maybe we can have a poll on it.

Keep the Sikh option, they’ll look amazing assembled and kitbashed.

Pith helmets instead of Sikh heads, please.
Won’t say no to WW1 Austro-Hungarians with a few extra bits to morph them into WW2 Hungarians.

Am I the only one who sees 6 heads and 5 bodies. Is Wargames Atlantic planing a prone figure ? What would be nice is to have a head with an auxiliary cap complete with bauble as was worn in Ireand by British forces post ww1. Only one would suffice, that would leave space for many more options such as covered Brody helmets, pith helmets etc. You mlght even include crushed SD. Hats as worn by the Irish Free State during the civil war.

Looking great so far. Would like to see some Highlanders w/ bag pipes, night patrol trench raiders, knit caps, jerkins, officers /w whistles.
Would love to see figures of the Arab revolt vs. the Ottoman Turks (including T.E. Lawrence).

Chris Voisey-Adams - August 18, 2021

Trench Raiders!!! – Need a few balaclavas and close quarters weapons. Also need officer bodies on the sprue, different jacket/boots/uniform with those chaps. Next set suggestions from me would be Ottomans, Austro-Hungarians or Russians (White vs Red Armies)

Any chance of a cup of tea? Even just a hand holding a mug?

And yes, Russians next please! Suitable for WW1 and RCW, thank you :-)

Pith Helmets and Slouch Hats please, so I can us them as 2nd boer war British and Australians.
Even WW1 ANZAC’S.

Lose the kneeling figure and replace with another standing figure.
Kneeling figures are a waste of time on the games table.

Good to see these, could you squeeze in some Scots? Hopefully soon Ottomans and Anzacs, or even Anzacs and Ottomans.
