New Set Announcement: British Infantry (1916-1918)

We can present the first batch of sculpts for the next set in our Great War range: British Infantry (1916-1918)!

(open image in a new tab for a close up)

This is where we are in the sculpting process. We have some more arms and another body pose to do.

These could also be useful for the pre-war period, the interwar period (VBCW anyone?), and with a bit of squinting even into WW2! (Although probably better left to our World Ablaze range!)

Let us know what you think of them below and we will continue to move them along! Which WW1 set should we tackle next? Post your thoughts and maybe we can have a poll on it.

Hi
I would support the the importance of the rifle grenade section. S

Agree with the comments above, lose the sikh heads and do pith helmets and maybe less Lewis guns, in a box of 30 I’d only need 3 so more rifles and perhaps an officer with pistol or walking stick. I’d want sikh/Indian troops set for mainly desert and East Africa as a separate box. Finally a support/officers box with HMG/Mortars/sappers/assault troops to finish off the WW1 British. Sulpring wise a bit more variaty of pose in the headgear would really set these chaps off. Still a lovely box and with pith helmets I’d be doing a lot of Pulp gaming in far flung climes for King and country.

I loke the sikh heads by the way!

Agree that Sikh heads do not work for this set.

By 1917-18 British platoons had a rifle section, bomber section (so Mills bombs with grenade pouches) a Lewis section (1, later 2 Lewis LMGs) and a rifle grenade section (so rifle with grenade cup option).

This is awesome! But still no wirecutters…

WWI US doughboys please! Including the option for heads with campaign hats would be amazing!

Baxter Key - August 17, 2021

To all of the people wanting Anzacs. Their webbing was different as was the cut of their jacket. Would pass on a pinch. But not correct

Hi!

My opinion:
Next sets in order: Russians, than Austro-Hungarians, than Italians.
Please add Rifle Grenadiers, remove Sikh Heads, not accurate.

US Doughboys and Russians.

Maybe Ottoman (Türkisch/Arab) and ANZAC Troops.

The British soldiers look awesome I’m excited to see them completed. I’m already going to be buying the ww1 French. The Russians for the Ottoman Empire would be the obvious choice to add to the World War One range.
One idea which I had that you guys might be interested In, is the possibility of making sprues of different heads and other parts that could easily convert already existing sets into new factions such as other helmets to turn the Germans into Austrians.
