Definitely looking forward to getting a couple boxes each of these gals, their male survivor counterparts, and the agents. WGA’s Pulp line is definitely my favorite, I’m really excited to see what else the future holds for it!
I’m glad these sets include improvised weapons like that shovel and bat – they aren’t for every character, but they’re a nice addition to have around for just the right character.
I’m with @JcDent on the weird weapons thing, too – the mac-10s and tec-9s, and anything else you probably wouldn’t see anywhere but a ragtag modern/post-apocalyptic mob like Survivors, Agents, or the Damned or whatever. I could get behind a stand-alone accessory sprue of that sort of thing with one or two each of as much of a variety of things like that as can be put on a sprue, if the demand is there, but would settle for a digital option.
Still hoping to see eventually some WGA Pulp cowboys and cowgirls as well, and hope some of the survivors’ bits and the zombie cowboy heads are a good sign that such a thing is in the works somewhere – I bet these survivors’ revolvers, double-barreled shotguns, and hats would kitbash nicely onto such sets, and western stuff would work great to with the survivors too for a bit of added variety to an already diverse set.
Some Firefly/Serenity style near-future smugglers and civilians would also mix-and-match well with a set like this – the retro weapons thing looked right at home in that sci-fi “space western” setting, and the basic idea could translate well to cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, and dystopian settings, and no doubt would work for steampunk and other characters. (The bits in the survivor set are a little more clearly turn-of-the-21st-century than something like steampunk or space-opera, but could certainly translate well as cyberpunk, post-apoc, and dystopian sci-fi….)
Anyway, looks like the survivors and agents will be some fun sets to work with, and I look forward to whatever WGA has in store for this product line next!
