Sprue Game Round 2: Barons' War!

Sprue Game Round 2: Barons' War!

Here's the submissions for the second range - Barons' War. Next up will be Blood Oaths and Decline and Fall together as there were fewer Blood Oaths submissions and they line up nicely as ranges) Vote away!

(As always we've eliminated duplicates, sets that are already planned, and anything that violated IP. Also some people just added to the wrong range so we've moved those over to the correct ones.)

Almohads! Gallowglass! Civilians and pack animals!!? Plastic? Yooooo

The Irish Galloglas? Well figures suitable for Irish Medieval armies are few and far between and it would be great if they were available in plastic.
They’d be very a useful addition to the range of Medieval plastics.
And Hussites. My club now has armies of converted of kitbashed plastic minis and it would allow Hussite armies to be affordable, and the Medieval Ce
Central / Eastern European armies are so very interesting.

I also went with the Mongols, with a side of pack animals, which seemed to me a useful “General Accoutrements” set for a wide range of purposes.

On the whole, seems to me that The Baron’s War already has most of the bases covered, between the foot and mounted knights, sergeants, and peasant levy, so I expected a lot of requests for very specific regional/national armies, and figured those would get the most votes.

The surprise to me was that as I write this, the poll seems to be dominated by townsfolk and women: there’s a niche use for role-playing gamers (NPCs and such), but it didn’t seem the sort of thing I expected a poll of tabletop wargamers to agree on. That definitely wouldn’t have been on my Bingo card.

I voted for wenches, medieval women, and townsfolk, as they are fodder for realistic fantasy characters, and can easily be converted for other projects, and aren’t really offered in other product lines. Considering that fashions didn’t change much, combine with other sprues and one can get more mileage out of them than one might think.
