However, we have here a strong CULTURAL DESAGREEMENT between Anglo-Saxon world (mainly right-sided) and the European way of understanding how – and why – to vote in a democratic system. I understand the problem of the spammers, but…

“You pay, you vote”. Here is the return of the old idea of the census vote (le vote censitaire), abolished in all great democracies since the end of the 19th century (in 1848 for France). A true right-side and old conservative idea (a way back ?).

I will abstain : the principle is not fair.

I like it. The $5 per vote is a way to ensure the votes are from legitimately interested people and not just spammers. Allowing that $5 to be used to buy the set when it is made or any other WGA product is an excellent concept. Some will hate this whole idea but I agree – it’s about putting your money where your mouth is!
