Vox Populi - Turning Your Votes Into Plastic Sets!

Introducting Vox Populi our new program to turn your votes into new plastic sets.

We have a track record of letting YOU decide what we make. The Aztecs, Conquistadors, and Landsknecht Ogres were all the result of your ideas and your votes. Now we want to take that concept and make it into a more formal system.

Vox Populi gives you the opportunity to vote on which of the sets we have in development will be made first. Click here to learn more!

Combining the “vote” with “put the money where your mouth is” is a good idea for a company that depends on actually selling their stuff.
The next time I buy sets from you, I will do it with vote & vouchers.

As for now, I am covered. Still waiting for the Ogres, but international traffic is slow atm, so np.

How do you add multiple Vouchers (ie 6) to a purchase? It only allows one per purchase.

This look to me like an horrible idea. This make people who buy from local shop and even tribes member have to pay money to express themself.

And five US dollar for one vote seem a bit much. Even if one of the kits is really interesting, I will never spend that much for a chance to have the kit I want release in plastic. A bit to close to a lottery to my taste.

Also, if there are spammers trying to skew polls out of spite, one of them is clearly still active and now spending money to lord his rudeness and disruptiveness over the rest of us, this Napoleonic Spanish guy.

I’d really like to know more about which votes were being spammed and how that’s effected things in the past.

I like the idea of this system, but I would have preferred a plastic version of the fantastic grognard cavalry conversion kit or a completely new kit for that range instead of dinosaur riders for them

I respect the initiative. It is an interesting idea and system. However, is there a way to get votes from people who buy through their FLGS as well? (I try to support both your awesome team and the play space in my community).

Is there some way of seeing how many votes each option has?

I first want to appreciate that the moderators for this board have approved comments that are critical of the decision because they have just as much of a right to voice their opinions as those who are fans of the new system.

Personally I, however, am a fan. It makes sense that a niche hobby product with so few customers (relative to things like videogames) empowers their most invested fans as this will likely guide product development to maximize sales. With so many different potential sets, it doesn’t make sense for a company to dedicate the precious time and resources to create products if those products are chosen by people who have limited or no actual purchasing interest (or who spam to unfairly influence voting). With that, just buying one box in the webstore translates to 6-7 votes, or nearly 1% of a project getting advanced. I would argue that this means that even more modest customers are influential within this voting system as less than 150 one time customers are needed to prioritize an entire set.

*My only problem, like others have mentioned, is that I buy primarily from retailers like Miniature Market or Noble Knight Games and this decision may hurt third party customers if they feel deprived of voting privileges. I would argue that if possible, vouchers to codes to vote are added to boxes shipped to these other stores.

Hi Nick – sorry you feel that way. I’m confused about the “delivery prices” comment. Our cost for shipping is $7.95 WORLDWIDE. We also give FREE WORLDWIDE shipping for any order over $50 (which is achieved by buying only two sets). We ship to the EU with IOSS so everything is delivered with customs paid and no extra fees of any kind. I’m not sure what the issue is? Thanks!
