A CHARGE OF BRIGHT STEEL!

Gunpowder cannon transformed the battlefields of Europe in the late 15th and into the 16th century and then those battlefields were transformed again as matchlock and wheel-lock firearms could be fielded by infantry…and cavalry. Cavalry of the period was typically of two main types: the Demi-lancer and the Reiter. Both typically wore three-quarters plate armor specializing on the lance for the former and a combination of sword and pistol for the latter. 

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 12 riders equipped with sword, matchlock pistol, wheel-lock pistol, and lance. Optional armor pieces are included for the horses (or the horses can be used plain with the included saddles). A mix of hat and helmet types will expand their use to the battlefields of Europe in the 15th and 16th and into the 17th centuries. 8 War Dogs complete the box.

Cavalry for both worlds

Nice miniatures to use on both sides of the Atlantic, lots of pieces for conversions. May be used also as Imperial Ritters.

Charging the night away ..

I just purchased the next two boxed sets in the Renaissance line. The conquistador and renaissance heavy cavalry. Very versatile kits. Out of the heavy ones you can make 16 riders if you have 4 spare horses or simply purchase a sprue of 4 extra ;-) When you assembled them there is plenty of plastic reamaining to kitbash all other troops you have stocked up in your grey pile of shame. I used all the heads on other troops just because I like them better then the other ones from different manufacturers. I love to kitbash and the Wargames Atlantic Reanaissance line is ideal for my 17th century fantasy & historical addiction. Happy gaming.

I really like this miniatures box. A lot of detail on the riders and mounts, and yes, the pups. The details on the armor and weapons is fantastic. It is a great buy.
