THE STRONG EAT, THE WEAK ARE MEAT!

Attributed to the warlord Oda Nobunaga (1534-1582), this terrifying phrase sums up the ruthless Sengoku period of 16th century Japan. Daimyo, warlords, controlled the country and battled for supremacy with sometimes massive armies of samurai, ashigaru, and other retainers. 

This hard plastic box set includes two frames and allows you to field up to 108 10mm soldiers and accessories. The box includes the following:

  • 2 Taiko Drums and 4 Drummers
  • 4 Foot and 2 Mounted Messengers
  • 12 Jinmaku sections with 4 additional posts
  • 2 Standing, 4 Seated, and 2 Mounted Daimyos or Generals

Good addition to building an army

What is provided is very good and the casting is great I know that doing the tents took a lot of plastic and there are only two spruces and it costs the same as the four spruce figure kits Twocommand tents and drums are enough but a few extra figures in command poses would be nice

Enough command for two armies,
Shipped fast, and no issues.
The sprue connection seem better than on the previous boxes where I was really scared of breaking the spears and bows.
Overall happy with the entire set, although I would like to see a Cavalry sprue and maybe a Sohei sprue.

Samurai command.

Beautiful sculpts covering all you need to lead your forces. There are two frames in the box giving you just enough to command two forces. The down side is compared to the Samurai and Ashigaru this set is poor value. The figures are five star but the value lets this set down.

Thank you for your kind comments about the set Peter. 'Value' is an interesting term. This is a command box. Theoretically you only ever need one. There are also 108 individual components and figures in the box. I think if you compared this to a comparable number of command elements from a 10mm metal manufacturer you'd probably be pretty damn happy. We don't sell plastic by the ounce - we sell plastic miniature models. Every model is not worth exactly every other model. Especially when it comes to models we sell for specific game systems. And also when we make a command unit/set that we know is never going to sell as many boxes as a line troop style set. We want to stay in business but we also want to make sure we're creating those mythological 'complete ranges'. - Hudson, Founder.
