THE “DEVIL’S PAINTBRUSH”

Allied troops gave the Maxim MG-08 this grim nickname to describe how German teams could sweep their bullets across the battlefield like a brush covering a wall. One was deadly, en masse they were a nightmare.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 3 German MG-08 teams. You actually get 6 MG-08s in the box with half that can be built at a higher elevation. There are 9 crew figures.  Several arm options allow for a variety of poses. We have also included enough heads to outfit every figure with stahlhelm, feldmütze, pickelhaube, tschako, and schirmmütz. And every type comes with gasmask versions! All parts are compatible with WAAGW001 German Infantry as well.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included.

  • Sculpting: Gia Huy, Thieu Duong, and Rob Macfarlane
  • Figure Painting: Christopher Hindmarsh
  • Illustration: Peter Dennis

Instructions, please!

I love Wargames Atlantic kits for their affordability, realistic proportions, and authenticity.
But the one thing that's always been an issue is the lack of an assembly guide.
For infantry, that might be as simple as a view of what each item is - especially useful for people who aren't history buffs.
But for a kit like this, assembly of the weapon mount is particularly problematic, even for those of us with some familiarity.
For the love of God, WGA,PLEASE start including a guide.

send three and forepence

only two crew per sprue is a little underwhelming.

No instructions or marked parts, very finicky to put together. I've struggled to get these to fit correctly crew poses aren't the best and arm selection is the same if it wasn't for the fact I have a 3d printers and can print more id regret buying these . Lots of nice heads wish the picklehelm and gasmask was available for the normal infantry or as a stl

Finally WW1 machine guns!

Excellent kit with lots of options for heads. Easy to put together as well.

Machine Guns go BRRRAPPPP!

Excellent kit! Figuring out some arm pairings are a little tricky but given there are different elevations for the two types of gun build and both kneeling, laying and sat down figures it is bound to need a little more modeling to get it exactly how I wanted them. End result is suberb! Thank you WA for going the extra lengths to have the variety in the gun heights. And then giving us an extra 3 per box! Well done.
