TO ARMS!
The peasant levy could make up a bulk of an army during this time period but were rarely the decisive element in a battle. They were raised in one of three ways, as members of a lord's household, as mercenaries, or levied from a town or the countryside. Many of the men were armed, had some training, and came from the upper peasantry, the tenant farmers who would have at one time had prior experience of a battle.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30 levy with a wide variety of weapons, including spear, bow, club, sling, ax, sword, and a variety of farm implements as a last resort. A variety of heads allow for even more customization and parts can be combined with the other sets in the range.

There are two unique frames in this set (see photos above)

This is the second in a new range - The Age of Chivalry - that will soon include Sergeants, Levy, and cavalry sets to go with the existing Foot Knights.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included. Not for Children. Contents may vary from photos.

Great box

Wonderful box set

Excellent, but only 4 quivers in the whole box?

This is a really stellar kit as far as armament and bits go: The sheer amount of spears and other polearms you get is remarkable compared to many other kits of this type.

The only glaring issue for me was the fact that despite being mainly archer geared, there's only 1 actual quiver per sprue of figures? There's very characterful alternatives like arrows being stuck into the ground which is cool, but I was hoping to use quivers on most of the figures for what I needed.

If that's not issue to you, then it's a perfect kit otherwise.

Peasant Levy

Another brilliant set from WA. Lots of detailed sculpting and character. As befits a peasant levy the armament is rustic and varied. Loads of workmanlike falchions, spears, bows and polearms.
My box will be used for a number of projects: Scots wars of the Bruce, crusades and Norman invasion of Ireland. Maybe even a gang of merry men.... Some may even for their way into the Peasant Revolts in the 1500s.
This is a great kit and the genius of it is that all the Age of Chivalry kits are interchangeable so I can see some bits from this kit being used with the Mounted Serjeants to ring the changes and maybe make up some mounted archers.
A highly recommended and versatile kit.

The Merry Men

Wonderful set of miniatures kitbash with the sergeants for some Robin Hood retinue.
