VIVE LA FRANCE!

The team began with a core of Napoleon’s Young and Old Guard from Waterloo and later were reinforced with troops from the Western Front of the Great War and decades later from the jungles of Vietnam. Over the centuries, their shared French language and culture (and trades by owners) have brought them together as a combined team on the Death Fields circuit. Even after centuries, the elite members of Les Grognards go to battle with the cry: “Vive la France!”

This box set includes enough parts to build 24 heroic scale 28mm figures with a variety of options including standard rifles, heavy lasers, flamethrowers, pistols, swords, heavy plasma guns, communication packs, and grenades. There are also four unique head types with and without gas-masks (192 total heads in this box)s.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included.

The original Grognards box was released in 2019 and featured a 1/2 frame of 3 bodies with weapons and a separate either 1/4 or 1/2 frame of heads. In 2025 we have updated the set to be built on one full frame with four bodies (one new pose and set of rifle arms) and all the head options included on the frame for those four figures.

Les Grognards make fantastic Swedish livgarde themed sci-fi for my OPR

1. My French girlfriend corrected my pronunciation of ”les grognards” - I was way off.
2. I had so much building my fireteams and squads.
3. I had fun painting them in Swedish colors.
4. They look great on the battlefield! My Warhammer 40k friend thought they were cool and he’s going let me use them in a game.

I highly recommend them! So many great ideas for putting them together and painting them for one’s own regiments. I’m buying more - command/heavy weapons, the USMC ones, and the British looking ones for more campaign fun.

I don’t have any photos and I’m away from home, sadly.

I like the aesthetic, its not something you van buy elsewhere. and i'm a big fan of the Napoleonic feel. complicated to build though. otherwise great.
