edit: while I am pretty sure these are VSF minis, I am thinking they might be good stand ins for Chinese mythology monsters and lesser demons.
Are these the iron core alien warriors? I can't say I find them nearly as interesting or unique as the rest of iron core, but I could see them being used as tau for warhammer. could also absolutely use them as fantasy weirdos.
No, pretty sure the iron core aliens were the shadowkesh. I think this is something for the Victorian science fiction project line. Probably the equivalent of space1889's martians.
I can see them having potential in kitbashing Tau or beastmen though. Especially with those legs.
@timbus the thirteenth As an Iron core fan that has dug up as much as I can about that setting, to my knowledge they are not. Like Mithril2098, I am pretty sure they are VSF minis since they look a lot like the Martians from Space 1889 and I recall someone hinting that on FB. The other option is they are Traveler Minis which is possible for that settting (lots of swords and melee weapons alongside slug guns and blasters in not starwars land).
@Mithril2098 While they are the most fleshed out, there was more than just the Shadowkesh to Iron Core's beastry of Alien races. I actually listed the Kraggen (who are likely to be aliens but could be muties) and the Dhar-Hazier (clearly bio tech aliens with a background story involving the Shadowkesh) on this forum here in this thread here
I brought up the shadowkesh mainly because those had two entries in the release schedule until fairly recently, which had gotten pretty far along before vanishing off the list. none of the other aliens from iron core even showed up as in development yet.

Yeah, I'd mixed up these guys with the shadowkesh. The rest of the Iron Core universe looks really sick from what I've seen, I'm hoping we get to see stuff outside of the basic empire soon. Also, I'm realizing I was probably too harsh to these guys. I can't say I'm head over heels for this exact photo, but I could picture their commanders and fancier weapons looking really cool. Hopefully we get some news soon, since I feel like people ask for more aliens on the forums every couple weeks (including me!).
@Brian Van De Walker All I know is I like them and want to see what are their options. I'd love to see more generic alien options in general.
Just did some research and apparently they're an update on the design of the Martians from OSHIRO miniatures.
Unfortunately, apparently these aren't martians. Not entirely sure if I can share a link to the forum post that confirms this.
WGA's done good work partnering with other minis companies to produce plastics. so not surprised they'd partner with an established VSF minis maker for their VSF project.
and i can see them renaming them with something less generic than 'martian' for the purposes of marketing and trademark.
