THE DRAGON WAKES!

China 1899. A populist movement secretly supported by the Empress Dowager has risen up to expel all foreigners from Chinese soil. Called the Yihequan (Fists of Harmony and Justice) but “Boxers” by foreigners because their members practiced martial arts, the group attacked both foreign residents of China and Chinese who had converted to Christianity.

The uprising culminated in the siege of Peking (Beijing) with the small forces of the foreign Legations surrounded and besieged. A relief column was quickly cobbled together by the Eight Nation Alliance made up of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, Austo-Hungary, Italy, and the United States. After brutal fighting the Legations were liberated in August 1900.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30 warriors with options to create the famed Kansu (Gansu) Braves and Tigermen. This box can also be used for other periods like the Opium Wars, the Taiping Rebellion, the First Sino-Japanese War, and into the 20th century.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included.

Boxers in a box!

Great quality miniatures as always! It's so cool to see such topics being represented in plastic kits rather than the usual expensive metal!

Possibilities are endless!

So far I’ve used this kit for Wild West games, pulp adventure games, and even used some for a Boxer Rebellion diorama. I inspired a buddy of mine with this kit, and he bought one to make Communist rebels to fight Occupying Imperial Japanese. Seriously, this is a great kit.

Flexible kit

Another great wargames atlantic kit that has tons of different options and expressive poses and heads. My wife is creating a team of Chinese pulp treasure hunters with this kit. I only wish there were more broomhandle pistols!

Great Figures for So Many Uses

Our group plays mainly skirmish games and finding plastic kits with lots of options can be a challenge. The Boxers kit lets you build several unique models with a wide variety of weapons and heads. Need farmers for a village? A gang of pulp tough guys with guns and cleavers? Pirates? So many options and a ton of figures for a good price. Highly recommended.

Great Kit for so many things.

I have been using these bodies for Sci-Fi civilians and they work great. I really struggled to find a simple body that wasn't over the top. Also who doesn't love a big cleaver!
