The Game
Into the Frozen Void is a solo or cooperative tabletop miniatures game built for fast, tactical play. Using a streamlined D6 (six-sided dice) based system, the game emphasizes survival checks through simple success rolls. This keeps gameplay fluid so players can focus on world events or hazards. A major element of gameplay is vertical terrain — height levels play a critical role in movement, visibility and combat, turning every piece of the board into a strategic position.
The Setting
"The Frozen Void" is a massive stretch of uncharted territory perched at the northern edge of two rival nations locked in a cold war. With the cold war fueling rapid technological advances and symbolic displays of power, both nations are seeking to demonstrate their unrivaled might to the world and be the first to claim the “Frozen Void” as a symbol of national pride.
Players take on the roles of the unfortunate individuals stationed at Station 4514. This collection of "expendables" are a mixture of seasoned arctic explorers, failed researchers and other unsavory individuals. Their main goal is to explore the area researching any strange anomalies they come across and laying claim to the uncharted area.
