PRO FIDE ET DOMO!

"For Faith and Home!" Though the cloister was meant to be a place of prayer, medieval monks did not always live apart from the violence of the world around them. Monasteries and churches could hold land, wealth and political influence, and in troubled times their inhabitants might be called upon to defend them.

These figures represent those brothers who took up arms to defend their faith, their lands or simply the walls of their own religious house. They are not the highly trained warrior-monks of the great Military Orders, but ordinary monks drawn into the fighting with whatever weapons were available.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build a varied body of Militant Monks suitable for use throughout the Christian world, from Western Europe to Outremer. The set contains everything you need to faithfully arm your groups for a Barons' War retinue, with a range of heads, poses, and weapons that let you create anything from a hastily armed monastic community to a more determined fighting brotherhood. You can also combine parts with other sets in the range for even greater variety.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases included. Not for Children. Contents may vary from photos.
