TO ARMS!
The peasant levy could make up a bulk of an army during this time period but were rarely the decisive element in a battle. They were raised in one of three ways, as members of a lord's household, as mercenaries, or levied from a town or the countryside. Many of the men were armed, had some training, and came from the upper peasantry, the tenant farmers who would have at one time had prior experience of a battle.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30 levy with a wide variety of weapons, including spear, bow, club, sling, ax, sword, and a variety of farm implements as a last resort. A variety of heads allow for even more customization and parts can be combined with the other sets in the range.

There are two unique frames in this set (see photos above)

This is the second in a new range - The Age of Chivalry - that will soon include Sergeants, Levy, and cavalry sets to go with the existing Foot Knights.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included. Not for Children. Contents may vary from photos.

Nice kit with lot of personality

A lot of options, not purely for peasants but for low tier soldiers.
Nice options to built character.

The only thing to improve, as always, the lack of left hands with equipment or melé weapons.

Versatile

This set is not only beautiful, it is an extremely useful band of generic medieval working folk who can literally put their hands to many tasks.

Dispense with the peasantry!

There is no problem you can’t solve by throwing enough peasants at it. Three field system of crop rotation? More peasants. Plague? More peasants. Land War in Asia? A lot more peasants. If you’re a petty kingdom in need of insignificant masses to lord over your regional monarchs get more peasants. This set comes with all manner of sharp pointy objects a real man at arms wouldn’t be caught dead with : hatchets, farming tools, hunting spears and bows. The only thing they are not equipped with is literacy! One box won’t do it; get more peasants!

Bought em for mordheim

Exactly what I was hoping for, miniatures are if good quality and the arms are numbered so you can pair the intended pairs with little hassle

Review Update

I am also giving this product five stars. If the maximum was more than five I would give full marks again. Today I also received notification of the Sergeant Levy set and will be ordering those as well. Excellent set. Also was thinking the peasants could be used as the Ruffians for Sharkeys mob in MESBG. 👍🏻
