New Set Announcement: Bavarians!

New Set Announcement: Bavarians!

The Bavarians under their "Mad King" Ludwig II fought both with and against the Prussians in the wars of 1866 and 1870. We've designed this set to include headgear for both conflicts along with command. The set will feature 30 figures and be available a little later this year.

Here are some painted versions by Jason Frowde. We'll have the full sprue and the box illustration soon.

Checking in, any further thoughts on whether these will be a thing?

So 17 months later have these been scrapped?

Perry has released Franco-Prussian infantry in plastic, so I’m hoping these match up well and are not a completely different size.

Fantastic realize ! Best design, best period for new wargaming around 1830-1871, best regards and congratulations to the team and designers

What about Guardia Civil Española? They born during that period and could be interesting

A companion set would most certainly need to be French Light Infantry along with Zouaves

I can’t help but think these are a good basis for Castle Falkenstein miniatures if one added a bit of steampunk stuff and maybe a hint of fantasy to a few of them.

Great set to go with Werewolves and Vampires ,hint, hint.

Very cool! This set would be one where a few extra heads could go a long way. With extra hats, shakos and Pickelhauben, you could portray most participants of the war of 1866. The uniforms were rather similar at this time. Some cuffs and boots would not be perfect, but there is huge conversion potential here.

Keep up the good work

I don’t even need those, but being Bavarian I guess I’ll have to get some.
