Sharpe's Rifles: the Wargame!

Sharpe's Rifles: the Wargame!

To celebrate Richard Sharpe's 248th birthday today - June 23, 1777 - we have a very special announcement and new product for you!

We’re excited to reveal SHARPE’S RIFLES - a new officially licensed hard plastic range and game to bring the world of Bernard Cornwell’s Richard Sharpe to the tabletop! A first!

54mm Richard Sharpe Display Model

To kick off this fantastic new game line we are starting with a very new kind of product from us with a character frame that includes both a 28mm and a 54mm version of Richard Sharpe as he was in Sharpe’s Rifles.

“They thought of him as nothing more than a jumped-up Sergeant, and they were wrong. He was a soldier, and his name was Richard Sharpe.” - Sharpe's Rifles, Bernard Cornwell

28mm Multi-Part Sharpe Figure - body with 2 head and arm pair options

The 54mm model is a display piece that comes with a scenic base. The 28mm version is true multi-part and has two arm and head options shown here. Chris Hindmarsh has painted the two versions - one to look like Sharpe as per the television show and the other depicting Sharpe as described by Bernard Cornwell in the novel: tall, dark haired, and with a savage scar on his left cheek that made him look like an “execution”.

We will be following the Sharpe box with similar frames for Harper, Riflemen Harris, and other notable characters from Sharpe’s Rifles. Andy Hobday is hard at work on the rules which will be revealed with the launch of the first game next spring.

Sharpe can be pre-ordered now! The set will be released on September 4th, the 216th anniversary of Arthur Wellesley becoming Viscount Wellington of Talavera.

The Sharpe series is licensed from Sharpe Film Limited.

Loving the idea of a player miniature as well as a 54mm (especially as I have a number of 54mm Frenchies. I hope all of the characters will come with both options.

Looking forward to see what you do with the game as well (skirmish I take it).

“Look ‘ere, Sharpie, I’ve got a littl’ version uh’ you.”
“Obadiah, you bastahd, give me back.”

But out of all the spaces on my bingo card for WA napoleonic releases in 2025, I did not have Sharpe’s Rifles on there. What a fun property, and a chance for some super characterful sculpts.

Steve - June 24, 2025

Fantastic, want them all. Will the rest of the character’s come with the 28mm and 54mm version. I hope so it would make an amazing looking game in 54mm.

Jim - June 24, 2025

I want them all, including the villains: Obadiah Hakeswill, Simmerson and that French officer that was mad about his glasses. And Teresa, while we’re at it.
