The Regulars are Out!

The Regulars are Out!

Here in New England we celebrated the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker's Hill (really on Breed's Hill a little lower and closer to the harbor). To celebrate we are releasing two new sets in a brand new range: The Age of Reason!

We're kicking off this occasional range with the main combatants of not only Bunker Hill but the April battle fought between Lexington and Concord and Boston that was the "Shot Heard Round the World" and commenced formal hostilities between the United Kingdom and her American colonies.

Our first set are Minutemen - the militias who were ready at a moment's notice to leave hearth and home to fight the soldiers of the Crown. This 30 figure set comes with a variety of poses to allow for moving, firing, loading, etc. along with a large assortment of head types to recreate the many men who fought in these battles.

For their opponents we have chosen grenadiers - but specifically the grenadiers of the 5th Regiment of Foot (later "Northumberland" - added in 1782). Although there were several regiments and various companies of grenadiers who took part in the early days of the American War of Independence, the grenadiers of the 5th were particularly "stuck in" at both battles and suffered severe casualties. We thought it was fitting to single out their participation and sacrifice by specifically making this set. That said, in a pinch you can use them as many different grenadier units!

Both sets have 30 figures and are available for $34.95/£25/50CDN. You can pre-order both here

Will you be adding to this range? Would particularly like to see American Regulars and British Light Infantry.

Those are impressively painted minis.
