The Satyr Brutes Terrorize the Forest!

The Satyr Brutes Terrorize the Forest!

We have some BIG boys to add to our Classic Fantasy range: Satyr Brutes!

These beastly lords of the deep forests mainly keep to themselves - preferring to drown their senses in worldly pleasures. But at the height of summer when their chiefs declare the season of festivals, bands of their frenzied warriors seek out violence and depravity. No race is safe - goblin caves are just as likely to be raided as outlying villages of the Free Kingdoms.

They're BIG Boys!

The largest satyrs are commonly referred to as bulls or brutes and tower over the average human. In their wanton fury they can even best an ogre or minotaur.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 24 35mm tall Satyr Brutes equipped with a variety of one-handed and two-handed weapons and accessories with different head types, tails, and shields.

I was wonder what to use these guys for, but I think they’d make some excellent Tzaangors. The current GW models feel a little too over-detailed for chaff infantry even if they are daemons, but these guys look more reasonable to paint in mass quickly, and are armed with comparable melee weapons + have a decent non-human appearance to them.

As someone who is presently in the process of making squads of the RGD Gaming Centaurs, I can entirely understand not wanting to bother with it. The two Faun sprues work perfectly well on their own, minus a couple alternate torsos lost from the Centaur frame. The Centaurs, meanwhile, are dependent on the Faun sprues to function hardly at all.

I’m just glad some of these kits will stay in production at all.

Hi W2K – Fauns yes, Centaurs no as the actual Centaur frame doesn’t have enough parts on it to create a full set without sharing items on the Faun frames. We will most likely do our own version of Centaurs in the future.

I asked this question before, but I am not sure if I will be able to find it now, but seeing how you’re re-releasing the Satyrs, do you guys plan on re-releasing the Faun and Centaur boxes as well?
