Title says it all- why haven't we seen more movement on this line of minis? I'd love to see more of this come out. Got a plethora of Eisenkern and Jaegers that need some heavy weapons support, or Kesh to fight.
not to be too negative, but honestly WGA is just really clogged up right now, I think. first there was the tariffs, then the damned campaign (which they've basically outright said was a nightmare), plus the marcher campaign(s), now the sprue game is in limbo and a bunch of lines are kinda frozen. hopefully the gears start moving soon, those space soviets i've seen concept art for were friggin awesome!!
Don't forget the Expanse sets stuck in limbo. Still waiting on my crew figures.
That and there's also the fact they're doing stuff for Baron's War and have just released a few boxes for them.
@timbus the thirteenth Yeah, they're just clogged rn. That Damned project consumed massive bandwidth, then there's Barons War. Those two Traitors Toll sets and that Market set came out concurrent to the earlier Barons War releases and now there's the Marcher campaign. Wasn't there a Trench Crusade release in there too???
I think WGA's really done a helluva job releasing kits for a company their size. They earned recognition for that. But, ngl, I wish they'd focus more on other stuff. I'm glad for past victories we had like that extra renaissance cav set because like when are they ever gonna give that period any love again?? At least the Conquistadors have opponents: They can fight amongst themselves, against those Aztecs or even Osprey's Tribesmen. The WW2 situation's a little wacky heavily favoring Italy's extremely limited role in the 1940 axis invasion of France. How about those Afghans though, not to mention those poor, lonely Persians???
I dunno; seems to be A LOT of overlap between WGA and Victrix releases these days and now I mainly buy sprues. You can't really hold your breath waiting for any given manufacturer to release any particular kit at any specific time. It's kind of been that way since the days of six identical lead figures in a blister pack for $2.95 though🤷🏻
This is why it's lovely to have several companies molding reasonably compatible miniatures in multiple genres. End of rant.
@J. Mansfield yeah, they keep overlapping with victrix, and while i love WGA that's just... not a good idea. victrix has some of the best quality models right now for the some of the lowest prices on the market. like, the entire baron's war, dark ages, and napoleonic lines, imo, are just not that worth investing in, simply because victrix has already done it as good as its gonna get.
@timbus the thirteenth Hmm, not everything from Baron Wars is being done Vicitrix (Peasent box comes to mind) and for the middle ages you can make an arguement for figure mixing given all the helmets, weapons, etc. from the timeframe and weather or not you want your nobels a foot taller than your peasents (which is kinda of suggested they where so you might want Victrix knights and a mix of men at arms). I guess you can do that for dark ages as well though the lack of diffrences in weapons, helmets, etc. during the late Roman era and dark ages don't really justify bothering with it at this point without your own game rule set.
Frankly I really want to see that Warring State Army box.
@Brian Van De Walker Yeah, I always felt like there's nothing wrong with range overlap.
