Conquistadors and Aztecs Oh My!

Conquistadors and Aztecs Oh My!

The tooling for the Conquistador sprues AND the Aztec sprue has finished! We have some higher resolution photos of the Conquistador sprues A and B below. You will get 4 of each of these in the box.

Conquistador Sprue A - Front

Conquistador Sprue A - Back

Conquistador Sprue B - Front

Conquistador Spure B - Back

We also have shots of the Aztec sprue straight from the factory floor (hence the quality or lack thereof!) But this will at least give you an idea of what's on this sprue. You'll get five of these in the box.

There are no release dates for these yet but we expect them to be boxed and shipping out to you in January. Once we have the boxes sorted and plastic running we will put them up for pre-order.

Looking good. How many bodies per box? Also, I assume the Spaniards and Aztecs will come in separate boxes?

Beautiful. I have nearly three hundred Aztecs but more are always welcome, or they could be done as Spansish allies, which I do need in numbers. The Spanish are very nice and I will be getting a couple of boxed sets of these. Would love the mounted lads too though as they are an important aspect of the conquistadors in the new world.

Bring em on.

>It makes more sense to not make the pikes on the minis too long.

Thats why I would have preferred a set of open hands, but on the other hand, one can just cut and file the existing weapons and then use broom bristles or steel pikes.

On close inspection of the sprue, some of the heads look like they will be a bit on the nicked side when attached to the bodies. I hope it is just a matter of perspective. On the other hand, nothing that a knife and/or some greenstuff cannot fix if it really is weired.

I’m so excited to get my hands on both of these armies for Kings of War Historical! A very underrepresented part of wargaming is the New World. And plenty of options to make just about anything you could want for Warhammer Empire or Dogs of War, too! Thanks WA.

These conquistadors together with some halfking militia will form the basis for my AOS free guild. They have all the right load out only eight in the box for some weapon types is a bit sad but it’s better then not have the option. If I want full squads I’ll just happily buy multiple boxes. (just realised that with a musician and a standard bearer I only need 8 to form a squad nice)

It makes more sense to not make the pikes on the minis too long. Unlike Games Workshop and their cow-elves, Wargames Atlantic has sense enough to not even try to model such long, spindly, easily breakable weapons for their infantry.

Do we have the figures to game this out?
